Michu set for four weeks out injured Michael Laudrup has confirmed Swansea City forward Michu is set to be sidelined for up to a month. Michu was substituted in the 65th minute of Swansea's 1-0 loss to rivals Cardiffon Sunday and will be absent for Thursday's trip to Kuban Krasnodar. The Spaniard, who scored 18 Premier League goals last season, is struggling with knee and ankle injuries, meaning he could be out for a number of weeks. Laudrup said in the Daily Mirror: “Michu is one of our most important players and was our top scorer last season, but he has been struggling, is not 100 percent and unfortunately he is out for three or four weeks. “He has not been at his best but that is because he has been struggling with both his knees for many weeks, but he wanted to play. “With this ankle injury, hopefully he can get both his knees sorted as well. He will be away in Spain for a few days for some injections.” Michu's fitness issues mean he is set to be unavailable for Spain's forthcoming friendly matches against Equatorial Guinea and South Africa. Laudrup said the onus now falls on the other members of his squad to chip in with goals, with summer signing Wilfried Bony likely to deputise. The Dane added: “When your top scorer is not in, the responsibility goes to others. It is always an important test.”
