Arsenal News: Jack Wilshere's Absence and More Ahead of Dortmund Arsenal's treatment room has been running at full capacity in the last few months and Jack Wilshere is the latest addition according to Arsene Wenger. The midfielder will be unavailable for the Borussia Dortmund match, which is much more important to Arsenal after the 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture at the Emirates stadium. Wilshere has missed the last two matches due to injury and he now looks set to miss this important match as well. Wenger has confirmed toSky Sports that he has not travelled to Germany, while there is also a chance that he will miss Sunday's match against Manchester United. "Jack Wilshere has not travelled. He has another test on Thursday. If he does not pass that he is out for Sunday and for England." Not all is bad news for Arsenal since Theo Walcott appears to be in frame to return on Sunday. Walcott and Podolski have been the major absentees for Arsenal in this brilliant run over the last two months. They have gone five points clear in the league, while the chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League still remain healthy. Kieran Gibbs would have been a major injury doubt for the Dortmund match, but he has recovered sufficiently to be part of the squad. The defender had to be taken off after 76 minutes in the 2-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday. Dortmund may not have kept a clean sheet in the last three matches, but they are on a four match winning streak. Per Mertesacker acknowledged the strength of the Germans, but he feels that Arsenal have enough quality of their own. "It is difficult to play Dortmund, especially away from home, but we have to keep our confidence. We are on a high level. We are top of the (Premier) League." Dortmund are incredibly strong at the Westfalenstadion and they have got lost an European home match since 2011.
