Liverpool selling summer signing would seem incredibly hasty A report this morning indicated thatIago Aspas could be on his way out of Anfield in the next window. Liverpool forwardIago Aspas has been linked with a move away from Anfield having only signed for the club in the summer transfer window. By his own admission, Aspas would’ve liked to have been more prominent in front of goal during his time on Merseyside so far this season, but if reports from theDaily Star turn out to be true, it would look like an incredibly rash decision. The forward has so far made only six appearances in aLiverpool shirt since making a7m move from Celta Vigo, and has since suffered an injury setback by tearing a thigh muscle. But without really seeing what the Spaniard is capable of, it seems a little unfair if Liverpool were to ship him out almost immediately. Admittedly he is not going to be the first choice striker at Liverpool, especially given the form of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez at the moment. From what Aspas demonstrated during the pre-season and in the competitive matches so far, he has shown he moves well to create space and can get himself into goal scoring positions- though he is perhaps not regarded as clinical. He isn’t afraid to make the run in the six yard box and get on the end of the ball- which if you watch some of Liverpool’s missed opportunities so far this season, it has lacked someone being around the six yard area to stab the ball home. Spending7m on a striker and sell him on after not having a good look at him would be a bit hasty, would it not?
