City, meanwhile, exacted some revenge on their conquerors in last season's FA Cup as they thrashed Wigan 5-0 in the previous round, but they too head into Wednesday's clash on the back of a defeat, having conceded a late goal to Fernando Torres to lose 2-1 to Chelsea at the weekend. Both managers are likely to tweak their starting line-ups, with Pardew's hand being forced at the back where both Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor are injury doubts. Manuel Pellegrini, meanwhile, is expected to draft in Stevan Jovetic who bagged a brace against the Latics, with Martin Demichelis expected to continue at the back after making his debut against the Blues.
