Alonso eyes Real talks. Chelsea target Xabi Alonso admits he is ready to sit down with Real Madrid and discuss an extension to his current deal. The 31-year-old is out of contract next summer, and his former boss at Madrid Jose Mourinho is keen on being reunited with him at Stamford Bridge, according to reports. Alonso, who joined the club in 2009, returned to the Madrid first-team after a five-month absence in the 7-3 win over Sevilla, and he is hoping he can prove his fitness as he looks for a new deal. "Now is the moment to begin to talk to the club about my future," the Spaniard told Canal Plus. "While I was not fit I did not feel up to talking. I have good communication with the club."
