"It's a shame that Guardiola will leave Bayern," Beckenbaue

The Germany legend says the current Bayern Munich side has been built by the coach and will be disappointed to see him goes, but is pleased with the replacement lined up
Franz Beckenbauer is disappointed by the news of Pep Guardiola's decision to leave Bayern Munich but believes Carlo Ancelotti is the "perfect replacement".
Guardiola's legacy in Bavaria – two Bundesliga titles and two Champions League semi-finals in two years – is substantial, but Beckenbauer is convinced Ancelotti has the tools to maintain the high standards of the ex-Barcelona boss.
"It's a shame that Guardiola will leave Bayern," Beckenbauer wrote on his official Facebook page.
"The team as it is, that's all his work. He built this team, his thoughts and ideas are the foundation.
"But that's the way it is. You cannot hold on to someone forever. And Bayern have secured the perfect replacement in Ancelotti."

EDUCATION BEYOND CERTIFICATE

EDUCATION BEYOND CERTIFICATE

EDUCATION BEYOND CERTIFICATE

It is high time we give another definition to the term "education". To
some people, education borders on going to school, acquiring degrees
and working for a company to earn a salary at the end of the month.

My dear readers, education goes beyond acquiring certificate, "we must
redefine education"....

Education teaches you about how to make rules, break rules, and
challenge an ongoing trend, school teaches you about how to follow
rules, live by the rules, and live an ongoing trend unchallenged,
thereby limiting that power of creativity in you.

Have you witnessed a scenario whereby you asked a Maths lecturer about
how he arrived at a certain formula, and he tells you "that is how it
is done"?, and mind you, if you do anything contrary...you FAIL his
exam, therefore you must follow the rules.

A truly educated man is he who has developed the faculties of his mind
to follow his passion, find solutions where there are problems without
following the rules, but creates his own ways through his deep
imagination to achieve his dreams.

Checkout most of the world's richest people today, they are mostly
school dropouts. Do you think they are not educated because they are
school dropouts? Far from it! They are really educated in their own
ways, they simply decided to build their own dreams rather than allow
themselves to be hired by other people to builld theirs.

So many people spend their precious years in school only to end up
acquiring cerificate NOT education.

Examples of these people include:

1) * People who don't practise what they learn in school before graduation.

As a student of Computer Science, how many codes have you written that
worked? Have you been able to (in reality) write a program that solves
the problem of an organisation?

As a student of Business Administration, how many businesses have you
started? How many times have you exprienced failiure in business, and
rise again?

So, are you putting what you are learning in school into practice?

The school will not give or teach you these orientation but education will.

2)*People who have no SKILLS...successful people don't depend on the
government of their country to provide jobs for them. A truly educated
person has skills, an uneducated fellow can only boast of his
certificate without any skills to back it up.

True education lies in the abilty to solve problems with the skills
you possess.....what are you waiting for? STAND UP NOW, do not
procrastinate, learn a skill you are passionate about.

What am I advocating?
This writeup is not in anyway articulated to undermine the importance
of schooling...Going to school is very important but our mindset about
school is what we are advised to change.

TRUE EDUCATION PREPARES YOU TO SURVIVE WITHOUT YOUR CERTIFICATE.

Suarez tells Barcelona to maintain focus

Luis Suarez admits Barcelona need to be wary of losing their focus after winning their first trophy of the year with a 3-0 win over River Plate in the Club World Cup final.
The Uruguayan scored twice in the second half after Lionel Messi had broken the deadlock before the break, finishing the tournament as top scorer with five goals, his brace against River adding to the hat-trick he netted against Guangzhou Evergrande in the semi-final.
Capturing the Club World Cup caps a superb year for Suarez and Barcelona, who lifted five trophies in 2015, including the Spanish Primera Division, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Super Cup and the Champions League.
But the striker urged his side to learn from the mistakes of last year’s world champions Real Madrid, who failed to collect any more trophies in 2015.
“After a competition like this there are always teams that drop off and enter into a bad run, so we must keep going,” Suarez told Telecinco.
“The most important thing was winning the trophy, which is what everyone wanted to do.
“You have to try and help with goals and I was able to do that this time so I’m also happy about that,” he said on his double, which makes him joint-top scorer in the history of the tournament along with Messi and Cesar Delgado.
And the Uruguayan had a special word for Neymar and Messi, who overcame a groin injury and abdominal pain respectively to play in the final after missing the semi-final against Guangzhou Evergrande.
“We have to highlight the sacrifice that Messi made in order to play today,” he said.
“He and Neymar wanted to play the game at any cost, but we should also remember the sacrifice the entire group has made this year. We are the best team in the world.”

Barcelona win FIFA Club World Cup as Suarez scores twice

A goal from Lionel Messi and a double from Luis Suarez saw Barcelona beat River Plate 3-0 in Yokohama to win the FIFA Club World Cup and cap a triumphant 2015 for the Catalan club.
Messi opened the scoring 10 minutes before the end of a difficult first half for Barcelona, who were tested by River’s intensity, but the European champions struck again early in the second period through Suarez and the Uruguayan sealed their third world title by heading home a cross from Neymar.
Barcelona become the first team to win the trophy three times, surpassing the two titles won by Corinthians, while Messi, Andres Iniesta, Dani Alves, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique become the only players to collect three winners’ medals.
This was the perfect way for Barca to end a stellar year in which they had already collected the Primera Division title, Champions League, Copa del Rey and UEFA Super Cup, with the only trophy they failed to win being the Spanish Super Cup.
Luis Suarez: Celebrates one of his goals for Barcelona
Before the game River boss Marcelo Gallardo admitted his side would have to play “a perfect game on every level” if they were to win, adding “Barcelona have the best players, but we have huge hearts”.
The Argentinian club – who qualified for the tournament by winning the Copa Libertadores – broke the previous record for bringing the most supporters to the tournament, some 16,000 fans making the 18,000-kilometre journey from Buenos Aires to Tokyo. On Saturday an estimated 10,000 supporters attended a a mass rally in Yoyogi park, creating a carnival atmosphere in the city, but when it came to Sunday’s game, Barcelona made their quality show.
The big news before kick-off was that Neymar and Messi were both back in the starting line-up after missing the semi-final win over Guangzhou Evergrande, the Brazilian recovering from a groin strain while the Argentinian had overcome abdominal pains.
Their returns allowed Luis Enrique to field the same team as in the Champions League final against Juventus, with the exception of Claudio Bravo starting in goal over Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Gallardo, meanwhile, made just one change to the team that scraped to a 1-0 win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima, bringing in Tabare Viudez for Leonardo Pisculichi.
River’s tactics were to press Barca high up the pitch to disrupt their passing game and stifle creation. It worked for a large part of the first half, even if they had to resort to frequent tactical fouling.
In spite of the shackles imposed on them, Barca created a couple of openings. Messi took down a ball from Iniesta superbly to half-volley at Marcelo Barovero, and a tame shot from Alves following a Neymar cross from the left, which the goalkeeper also gathered. River’s few chances came from set-pieces and distance shots from Rodrigo Mora and Lucas Alario, both which went straight at Bravo.
Messi also tried a free-kick which Barovero tipped around the post, but it would not be long before the Argentinian finally found a way through.
Jordi Alba won the ball back in River’s half and Barca broke quickly, Messi playing in Alves, who floated a ball into the area from the right and Neymar rose to head it down towards Messi, who controlled it before hooking a right footed shot just beyond the reach of Barovero. The Barcelona substitutes raced out of the dugout to join Luis Enrique’s wild celebrations, such was the importance of the goal, but replays showed Messi may have controlled the ball with his right hand before shooting.
The goal sapped River’s confidence and Barca could have scored again before the break, Messi releasing Suarez with a curled pass from the right wing, but the Uruguayan fired the wrong side of the near post.
Gallardo made a double substitution at half-time, bringing on Lucho Gonzalez and Gonzalo Martinez for the booked Leonardo Ponzio and ineffective Mora. But the new players were on the pitch for only four minutes before Barca struck again. This time the high press was River’s undoing, as Busquets spotted a gap in the defensive line and Suarez ran into it, controlling and sliding the ball under the legs of Barovero.
Barca pushed for a killer third goal and, although Messi squandered a chance to add to his earlier effort, Suarez took his opportunity to do the same, glancing Neymar’s cross into the far corner.
The Uruguayan took the prize for the tournament’s top scorer, his double adding to his hat-trick against Guangzhou, while Barca earn the right to be called world champions.

Van Gaal not sure over United future after shock Norwich loss

Louis Van Gaal: We have to believe in ourselves

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal says his side were “not good enough” after suffering a shock 2-1 defeat to Norwich City at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils suffered their third straight defeat as goals from Cameron Jerome and Alex Tettey secured all three points for Alex Neil’s side to heap more pressure on the United boss.
Speaking after the game, Van Gaal admitted his side weren’t good enough in the defeat, one that sees them drop out of the top four.
“I can say a lot of things but every word is too much I think,” said Van Gaal. “You can see what confidence is doing to the players.
“Now it’s very important that everybody sticks together, but that was not good enough today. We have to win against Norwich and we know that.”
Asked if the pressure is building, Van Gaal added: “That’s the football world. I know that, my board knows that, my players know that.
“We’re not used to that because normally we win, so it’s a difficult period. lost three matches in a row so it’s not happening so much for Manchester United. We can’t accept that and that’s why I have to repeat, we have to stick together and believe in ourselves.
“I’ve encountered these circumstances also with other teams and other staff.
“The main thing is that you have to be professional and do the things that you have to do and work very hard to come out of this bad period.”
When asked whether he feels he will be given time at Old Trafford, Van Gaal said: “It’s not up to me I think to say about that question but we shall see.”
Louis Van Gaal: Under increasing pressure at Manchester United
Louis Van Gaal: Under increasing pressure at Manchester United

Midfielder Daley Blind says United need to stick together as a team ahead of two tricky fixtures over the festive period.
Next up for the Red Devils is a Boxing Day trip to the Potteries to face former United striker Mark Hughes’ Stoke City in a 12.45pm kick-off.
Then on Monday, December 28 United welcome Guus Hiddink’s Chelsea to Old Trafford, with the Londoners starting their post-Mourinho era with a win over Sunderland.
Versatile star Blind told Sky Sports: “It’s important to stick together and try to bounce back.
“We’re working hard out on the training ground on every aspect of the game. We must stick together as a team and work hard to improve. I believe we’ll come good doing it this way.
“It’s important for us that the fans are standing behind us. We feel that support out on the pitch and it’s important that we stick together. We have the best fans in the world.”

Mourinho the special one

See Jose Mourinho's timeline during his stay in Chelsea

Jose Mourinho has parted ways with Chelsea by ‘mutual consent’ (yeah, right). We look at a timeline of his controversial and troubled season.
August 8: Mourinho criticises Chelsea first-team doctor Eva Carneiro and physiotherapist Jon Fearn for naivety in running on to the field to treat Eden Hazard in the opening-day draw with Swansea. Mourinho is cleared by the Football Association of abusing Carneiro, who then subsequently leaves Chelsea.
August 16: Chelsea lose 3-0 away to Manchester City, with Mourinho substituting captain John Terry at half-time.
August 29: Mourinho’s 100th Premier League home match results in only a second loss as his side go down 2-1 to Crystal Palace.
September 12: The Blues lose again as they are beaten 3-1 at Everton, Steven Naismith with a hat-trick.
September 19: Diego Costa is banned retrospectively for a running feud with Arsenal defenders Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel in Chelsea’s 2-0 win. Arsene Wenger avoids censure afterwards for calling referee Mike Dean ”weak and naive”. Mourinho turns his frustrations to Wenger and the FA.

September 29: Chelsea lose 2-1 to Mourinho’s old club Porto in the Champions League.
October 3: Following a fourth league defeat, 3-1 to Southampton, Mourinho questions whether he will be sacked and subsequently receives the first vote of confidence in a manager in the 12 years of Roman Abramovich’s ownership. He is, though, hit with a £50,000 fine and suspended one-match stadium ban for comments after the loss about referee Robert Madley, which, an independent panel judges, alleged bias.
October 15: The Portuguese maintains his attack on the FA, calls his fine a ”disgrace” and says: ”I’m happy that I don’t have an electronic tag.”
October 17: Mourinho rounds on star player Hazard after dropping him to the bench for the 2-0 win over Aston Villa and demands the Belgian improve his defensive work rate.
October 24: Chelsea lose again, 2-1 at West Ham, losing Nemanja Matic to a first-half red card and also having assistant first-team coach Silvino Louro sent to the stands. Mourinho does not emerge on the touchline for the second half, having also been sent off.
October 26: Mourinho charged with misconduct over his behaviour at West Ham.
October 27: Holders Chelsea are knocked out of the Capital One Cup after losing their fourth-round tie to Stoke on penalties.
October 31: Chelsea suffer yet another defeat as Liverpool are 3-1 winners at Stamford Bridge. The club’s position on his future, publicly at least, is unchanged from the vote of confidence at the start of the month.
November 2: Mourinho is given a one-match stadium suspension with immediate effect and fined £40,000 after admitting an FA charge of misconduct over his behaviour at West Ham.
November 6: The FA releases its written reasons for Mourinho’s ban, saying he called referee Jon Moss ”f****** weak”.
November 7: With Mourinho absent from the game due to his ban, Chelsea lose 1-0 at Stoke – the club’s seventh league loss of the campaign.
November 23: It is announced that Chelsea made a loss of £23.1million in their Premier League-winning season.
November 29: Costa is dropped to the substitutes’ bench for the 0-0 draw at Tottenham and throws his bib in Mourinho’s direction when it becomes apparent he would not feature.
December 5: Blues go down 1-0 at home to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth. Substitute Glenn Murray was on the pitch for one minute 39 seconds before netting 82nd-minute winner.
December 14: Chelsea are beaten 2-1 at Leicester, putting the Foxes back top of the Premier League and leaving Mourinho’s men one point above the relegation zone after 16 matches – Chelsea’s worst start to a season since 1978, when they went on to be relegated. Mourinho says after the game that his work was ”betrayed” by his players. He admits all top-four hopes are ”gone” and says he needs pride from his players.
December 17: Chelsea announce they have parted company with Mourinho by mutual consent.

Newcastle's subs end Tottenham’s unbeaten run

Substitutes Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez scored as Newcastle United came from behind to end Tottenham’s unbeaten run in the Premier League with a 2-1 win at White Hart Lane.
Eric Dier had headed Spurs in front six minutes before half-time, but Mitrovic prodded home an equaliser in the 74th minute, just two minutes after coming on, before Perez forced a shot past Hugo Lloris in stoppage time to complete the turnaround.
The defeat brings an end to Tottenham’s 14-match unbeaten run in the league, while Newcastle climb out of the relegation zone into 15th.
Spurs knew three points would see them move into the Champions League places for the first time this season, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men fell flat as Newcastle completed a second consecutive victory for the first time since November 2014, to follow up last weekend’s surprise win over Liverpool.
Tottenham dictated possession early on but found Newcastle difficult to break down and were grateful to Papiss Cisse in the opening five minutes when he blocked Siem De Jong’s goalbound shot.
Otherwise, apart from referee Roger East tripping himself up, there was little for either side to cheer about and it took 36 minutes for Spurs to carve out their first real chance.
Carroll’s clever ball through released Danny Rose, who cut back to Erik Lamela, but the Argentinian’s bending finish was palmed wide by Rob Elliot.
Elliot was called into action again two minutes later and again it was Lamela he denied, as the winger latched on to Harry Kane’s flicked header but saw his snap half-volley fly straight at the Newcastle goalkeeper.
From the resulting corner, however, Spurs did break the deadlock as Fabricio Coloccini let Dier run free and the midfielder jumped above Moussa Sissoko at the near post to head home his third goal of the season.

Suddenly Tottenham looked more threatening, and they almost doubled their lead before half-time when Christian Eriksen’s shot fell fortuitously into the path of Rose, but his stinging drive evaded both the far post and Kane sliding in.
The interval came at a good time for Newcastle, who stormed out of the blocks after the restart and should have equalised when Cisse was sent clear by Sissoko – but the striker dragged his finish wide.
The visitors were faster on the ball than Tottenham and sharper in their pressing, and in the 73rd minute they deservedly found an equaliser when Chancel Mbemba’s header was poked in on the line by Mitrovic after Toby Alderweireld and Hugo Lloris failed to clear.

Both sides pushed forward late on in search of a winner and Newcastle went close when Sissoko’s fizzing cross was almost converted by Mitrovic – but the forward was just unable to reach it.
Spurs failed to heed the warnings and Perez made them pay when he sneaked inside Jan Vertonghen before half-volleying past Lloris at the near post.

Jurgen Klopp: Thanks to Liverpool fans for atmosphere against West Brom

Jurgen Klopp thanked Liverpool’s supporters for the atmosphere they created against West Brom – and saw the 2-2 draw as a point gained rather than two dropped.

Having led through Jordan Henderson’s well-worked goal, the Reds fell behind after Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson – who also had a goal ruled out for offside – both converted two corners only for substitute Divock Origi’s deflected long-range strike in the sixth of eight added minutes to rescue a point.

Klopp led his players to the Kop to thank them for their support and admits he enjoyed the draw more than he should have.
“It was the best atmosphere since I’ve been here, I enjoyed the atmosphere with my whole body. I want to say ‘thank you’,” he said.
“Sometimes a point deserved in the right way is more important.
“I know three points is important for the table but for development – the style of play against a team like this; everyone tells us we can’t play against teams like this but yes we can; staying in the game – to come back, that is a big moment in football.
“On Thursday (against Sion in Switzerland) we played on ice; today against a wall and it was not easy to create chances against a team like this.
“Maybe the crowd were disappointed but they didn’t let us feel that. We were all in the game. We all wanted this one point and it felt like three, in this moment it was an explosion.”

Klopp also defended goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who made a mistake for West Brom’s equaliser.
“I said to Simon at half-time, if somebody says it was your fault, it is not true, it is my fault. I have nothing negative to say about Simon,” he added.
“They had six or seven players who were six foot four or taller and that is really difficult to defend but we will do better and work on it.
“In England it is really difficult for goalkeepers to come out as there is no-one to protect them but he can help if he comes out.”

Man United challenged to win their next three matches

Louis van Gaal has challenged Manchester United to win their next three matches to reignite their Premier League title hopes following Saturday’s defeat at Bournemouth.
Frustrated boss Van Gaal blasted the sloppy defending that led to Bournemouth’s 2-1 victory, insisting United must heed a “strong lesson” from Dean Court defeat.
Junior Stanislas and Josh King fired the goals to send Bournemouth into raptures, just seven days after a 1-0 win at Chelsea, with midfielder Harry Arter playing despite his child passing away at birth this week.
United have now slumped to five matches without a win, but under-fire Van Gaal still maintains he can reverse the Old Trafford fortunes, which also saw them go out of the Champions League in midweek.
“I think that we have the selection to do that (win the league), but we are now in a very difficult position,” said Van Gaal.
“We have to make a revival this week, and that’s always very difficult because you have lost two in a row, and that doesn’t happen often for Manchester United.
“Two set plays, two goals: you cannot accept that as a manager, a player, a team, because we pay a lot of attention to it.
“Bournemouth benefit a lot in the corners and free-kicks and we have seen that, but still they scored twice.

“Also against Wolfsburg it was already the reason why we lost, so it’s a very strong lesson for us.
“Of course I’m concerned because we have lost two matches in a row, and that is not a usual thing, so we have to stick together and prepare for our match against Norwich.
“And you have to win, because otherwise it is always more difficult.
“It is already this week very difficult because my players are very disappointed.
“They have done everything, but they have lost.
“And then we shall do our job, but it is more difficult to prepare a game against Norwich when you have lost twice in a row.”
Jesse Lingard limped out of the lacklustre Bournemouth loss, with Van Gaal confirming the winger had suffered the recurrence of a previous leg problem.
United’s loss only exacerbates a frustrating week where 3-2 defeat in Wolfsburg dumped Van Gaal’s men out of the Champions League.
Now the beleaguered Dutch boss has called on his men to see off Norwich, Stoke and Chelsea before the turn of the year to keep their title hopes alive.
While United appear to have lost the winning edge that underscored Sir Alex Ferguson’s years of success, the former Holland boss still believes he can bring glory back to Old Trafford.
When asked if defeat to Bournemouth would shake his confidence for the fight ahead, Van Gaal replied with a firm “no”.
“When I see that my players want to do everything that we ask then I think that’s the most important thing,” said Van Gaal.
“The cohesion between the manager and his staff and the players, that’s the most important thing.
“And I have seen also how the bench was participating in the match, so we all wanted to win.
“And I think that’s the most important thing.
“Of course it’s disappointing if you lose two matches in a row in an important week, so now we have to stay there in a position to keep fighting.
“But still we are in a position, but we have to win.
“We have now to win three matches in a row for example, to be there still after Christmas.”
